Our Logo

The “Tree of Life” is a timeless symbol in India. Known as Akshaya Vata, the eternal tree represents protection and continuity.

The tree creates new trunks through its aerial roots, symbolic of regenerative growth. Our approach mirrors this natural process: expanding thoughtfully, establishing new foundations while maintaining connection to our core principles.

By choosing the Akshaya Vata as our logo, we speak of embracing change. Of unity. Of responsibility. We are here to grow our relationship with the people, plants, and the planet. To stand for something that lasts. And like our trees, to offer something back… always.

Our Name

Our name suggests the combination of nature’s treasure and human craftsmanship. “Herb” connects us to the plant kingdom to the leaves, roots, and flowers that have nourished us. “Artizan” reflects our commitment to quality through deliberate craft, to skill, patience, and reverence for our materials.

Being an artizan means attention to detail: appreciating the soil’s generosity, the growers’ and collectors’ work, and the science that perfects our work. It stands against rushed production, affirming that true excellence comes through care. That explains our long lead times.

Our Sustainability Policy

Our Sustainability Policy outlines Herb Artizan’s commitment to responsible, ethical, and environmentally conscious practices.

Chief Artizan's Letter

At Herb Artizan, we aspire to understand the nature of our herbs in fair depths with an aim to find scientific interventions which can build quality throughout their journey from seed to shelf. We believe in the natural (organic) way of growing, harvesting, and processing such that the processed forms comply with the international pharmacopoeia standards of quality. To ensure that our business remains long-lasting and (soul) fulfilling for us as well as our organic vendors we proudly embrace the Fair-Trade standards of sustainability.

-Dr Amit Agarwal
Founder & CEO, Herb Artizan

Our strength lies in our analytical and processing capabilities. Always eager to learn and adopt the latest technologies and the best practices known for the management of botanicals, we have selected to build our future on. We are a group of likeminded multidisciplinary scientists who have come together to find ways of producing the world’s finest quality botanical ingredients for food, drug and cosmetic industries.

We may not have the lowest prices or the largest production capacities, as typical artisans, we boast of only premium quality. We are passionate about accepting challenges in product features and always willing to develop new processes to meet the needs of our loyal customers.

Herb Artizans (our scientific team) holds a cumulative experience of over 200 years in various aspects of natural product research and development. In the long run, we hope to become preferred partners for new product development or existing product improvement for our quality-conscious customers and not just remain mere vendors of premium quality.

Why do we exist? Our collective qualifications, past experiences, and the process of setting standards have led us here. This is our purpose. We wish to bloom where we are planted. To do something meaningful with the chemistry of herbs discovering innovations that make a real difference. What kind of science can be both disruptive and sustainable? Where can we find powerful advantages that improve quality while also improving livelihoods?

Our goal is bold: to know our plants so deeply that we can create products that taste better, cost less, and still double farmer income. It may be a tall order, but we believe there is hidden knowledge waiting to be uncovered knowledge that can change lives.

We do not pursue this work for money. We do it because we can, and because it matters. If we remain true to this mission, we will gracefully embrace whatever comes our way.

Our Definition of Quality

Quality, for us is measurable and tangible:

This is the quality we stand for, and the promise we carry forward.
